Black & White

The Upper East Side has been on my mind lately.
I've been yearning for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and sitting on the steps.

Celine

Celine has had some great bags out lately. I adore this one, especially with the all black ensemble.

Ian Davenport

While perusing artnet.com this morning, I came across this contemporary piece by British born artist  Ian Davenport.

The piece is fittingly called Puddle Painting: Magenta, Green, Violet, Green.

It can be bought from the Art Plural Gallery.

It's so eye catching!

Tango with the Teapots

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love teapots.

Oh, and tea for that matter.

Plus elephants and polka dots.

Society6

I'd like to think that I live a simple, minimalistic life.

But when it comes to art, I'd have to rethink that statement again.

You may ask, "who's your favorite artist?" Well I hate to disappoint you because, I don't have one.

Cue the gasps.

I don't pretend to act like I'm an art expert, because I'm not. I'm just a simple art appreciator.

Looking at works of art can make your day a hundred times better. It opens your mind to endless arrays of possibilities and sources of inspiration.

But what I love most about art is discovering artists who aren't that well known.

Cue Society6.

Society6 is a website to find the perfect off the beaten track piece that'll look fantastic in quirky, mismatched frames across your home.

I'd definitely recommend it for art amateurs like myself along with any lover of this true form of self expression.

Here are a few of my personal favorites that I discovered recently.
